Anna Larke started her career in the games industry in 1997 at Argonaut as a games tester on Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
She quickly moved into games design, and her first design work appeared in the celebrated Buck Bumble on the N64, back in 1998.
Since then she has worked as a designer on a raft of games including Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, I-Ninja, Cat Woman and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - which reached number one in the charts.
In 2004 she moved to Ideaworks3d and worked on the The Sims 2 .
Over the years Anna has written many articles, and given interviews about games design, games industry and gaming on TV, radio, online and various magazine publications.
In 2006, seeking a fresh challenge within the games industry, Ms Larke made the switch from design to the world of PR and is now an account executive for Hertfordshire-based PR company Barrington Harvey, whose many clients include Activision, NCsoft and ELSPA.
Anna took time out from her schedule to give SPOnG some personal history, telling us, "I've been an avid games player since I was four, my first computer being an Amstrad CPC 464. I've owned pretty much every console and PC through the years - I play a lot of games. I've a huge list of favourite games, so it's hard to list them all. But among my faves are System Shock 2, Resident Evil 4, Half Life, Deus Ex, Goldeneye, Pokemon, World Of Warcraft, GTA: Vice City Stories
Current addiction is my Xbox 360 and my latest addiction is Gears of War . I'm also loving Zelda: Twilight Princess on my Wii"
Anna Larke's first video game work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1997 title, "Croc: Legend of the Gobbos" (Saturn) as Game Design. Of the titles listing Anna within the credits , "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (PlayStation) and "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" (PlayStation) have been best selling titles.
Anna's most recent involvement was as Game Design on the 2004 release "Catwoman" (Xbox).
