Born in Wigan, Lancashire, England in 1967 and schooled at St Catherines and Wigan Tech College, Martin's first job within the industry was as an artist at Canvas Software working on 8-bit titles. Following Canvas' demise and a short bout of unemployment, he moved on to MC Lothlorien and then to famed 8-bit developer Software Creations.
Tragically, Martin died at the age of 35 in 2003.
