Online retailer Amazon has followed in ASDA's footsteps and further slashed the price of the Wii U Basic 8GB console. Customers can now get the white version of Nintendo's latest platform for £149.It
represents a £100 saving that retailers have actioned themselves since the console's launch last November, suggesting dire hardware sales.
ASDA also cut the price of the Wii U Premium pack by an additional £50, but Amazon still has this version of the console
on sale for £287.64.
Hopefully this doesn't lead to an irreversible trend for Nintendo's HD box. The company has promised to fix the dearth of software on the platform over the Summer.
