Sony's PlayStation Vita is likely to have had the shit pre-ordered out of it, as thousands of Japanese gamers queued up over the weekend for a chance to get the device the second it launches.According to a report by Nikkei (via
Andriasang), around 1,200 people were lined up outside Akihabara's Yodobashi Camera store on Saturday evening - and much mirth was had over the fact that the same number of people attended the launch dates of the PSP and Playstation 3 at various other flagship stores.
I guess the Japanese just have a different sense of humour to the rest of the world. But it's still impressive potential numbers for the system - Sony has yet to divulge actual pre-order figures following the weekend, but we'll let you know as soon as it does.
