Tretton Outdoes Cage in Heavy Rain Nonsense
Don't get us wrong, we like Heavy Rain this much and this much. What we don't get is the sheer amount of nonsense spoken in order to tell us about it.

The games' major creative force, David Cage, is at the forefront of the onslaught, but SCEA's CEO, Jack Tretton is giving him a run for his money in terms of sheer, unadulterated twaddle. Try this:

"I think if you read a book, unless you read the chapters in reverse order, the story is pretty much going to be the same. But with Heavy Rain, depending on what you do, you are going to get a different outcome every time."

In short, 'Novels are linear, except for those cool books where you choose which page to turn to in order to continue the adventure. Video games such as Chrono Trigger... sorry, Heavy Rain, are a bit less linear.'

However, we're prepared to give a prize to the first person who can prove Jack wrong or right by reading Finnegans Wake either front-to-back and back-to-front and coming up with any plot at all.
