The development kits for the next DS handheld from Nintendo are apparently alive and in the wild, with one unnamed source stating, "I can tell you that it's got a 'tilt' function that's not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more."*The actual existence of a motion-sensible DS has been confirmed and then rapidly denied by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata already in recent months. Firstly in an interview with
Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun. Then in a
denial of that wording quoted in that same interview.
The company president poured more cold water on the idea of motion sensing for the handheld when he took time to
swipe at Apple's iPad. He said, "I question whether those features would be enough to get people to buy new machines".
Nintendo, has issued a "No comment on rumour or speculation".
