Sony must be chuffed by now. Despite the world waiting two ice ages for Gran Turismo 5, we can all take solace in the fact that when it does arrive it'll sell like hot cakes with porn inside. The evidence is in a recent announcement by Polyphony Digital that says lifetime sales for the racing series has topped 55 million. That's quite the impressive feat for a series that's known for its delays in the pursuit of perfection.
Gran Turismo 1 and
4 have all sold around 10 million copies, while
GT3: A-Spec has contributed the most to the total with nearly 15 million units sold.
