The evidence is in a recent announcement by Polyphony Digital that says lifetime sales for the racing series has topped 55 million.
That's quite the impressive feat for a series that's known for its delays in the pursuit of perfection. Gran Turismo 1 and 4 have all sold around 10 million copies, while GT3: A-Spec has contributed the most to the total with nearly 15 million units sold.
