SCEE has just announced a game called... The Game. It could be, if you're the tiniest bit of a suspicious nature, compared to Xbox Lives 1 vs 100.
Here's how SCEE explains it:

It only matters that your Team wins."
Then it goes strange as we're told that it's "Masterminded by PlayStation 3 (PS3)". The game of The Game is, as you'd expect, integrated with Facebook.
And here's what it does,"The Game brings a vast array of fast and furious timed challenges to your desktop PC- ranging from old-school arcade games to tricky quizzes. And once you’ve finished playing you can pick and mix your favourite games and quizzes into a medley of mayhem to challenge your friends with.
It’s Us Vs Them, it’s Friends Vs Family, it’s You Vs Everyone, it’s Everyone Vs Anyone."
