With Nintendo talking about their massive battle plan to conquer the holiday season recently, it would probably do well to have store shelves fully stocked with Wii and consoles. Luckily, Nintendo of America's President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime has stated that the company are well prepared for any further spike in sales.
Discussing the price cut and many other things on MSNBC's Closing Bell programme, Reggie explained; "We have a tremendous amount of product in inventory… We do not expect to have shortages on our products".
Good job Nintendo know where they are with console shortages this time around, with previous holidays seeing retailers with a lack of product to sell. Now that the company is the best in the world, they can't afford to have things like console shortages happen any time soon.
The Closing Bell programme noted that console sales for the Wii were up 10% in August 2009 compared to July 2009, with 277,400 units sold.
