While it will please legions of Marvel fans that Stan Lee (Publisher Emeritus
*, Marvel Comics, no less) - is appearing in Activision's
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, there is a slight let down. We're told that he "lends his likeness and voice to a character whose role is pivotal to the game’s storyline" and that this is a 'cameo'. In short, you don't get to play Stan in the game.
That doesn't phase the man over whose life and work there is much mixed opinion; he's thrilled to be in the game as a cameo. "It’s such a kick to see characters that I’ve helped create come to life in the game and now I’m a part of the Marvel videogame universe!"
Now, for a
Steve Ditko appearance?
*"honourably retired from assigned duties and retaining your title along with the additional title `emeritus' as in 'professor emeritus'".
