Reuters reports Japanese stats collator and publisher, Ascii Media Works' hardware sales figures for the week ending March 6th in its homeland.
The stats look like this:
PlayStation 3: 38,748.
Nintendo Wii: 16,950.
Xbox 360: 15,152.
PlayStation Portable: 60,339.
Nintendo DS: 46,044.
Last week, Media Create also put PS3 at the top of the console pile and PSP victorious in handheld sales for the week ending March 2nd.
Ascii Media puts the demand for PS3 down to the March 5th launch of
Resident Evil 5... a multi-platform title also available on the Xbox 360. PSP-love was, apparently, due to new colours becoming available; credit crunch, eh?
