Team17 has set free the first images from the downloadable Worms 2: Armageddon.
The caption for the action shot tells us, "Hot stuff, prepare for the exciting return of fire and many classic weapons as well as the pick of the bunch from the critically acclaimed Worms Open Warfare 2."
The caption for the avatar-fronted shot, meanwhile, reveals vertical gameplay. "Shown in this level, new vertical level mode, play high tall levels as well as wide ones, caves, islands and a wide variety of others."
The game was recently revealed to the world by the Australian ratings board (the OLFC) and later confirmed by Team17 founder Martyn Brown. The title is planned as a timed exclusive on Xbox Live Arcade, due for release in the first half of 2009.
