Summary

Megaman Battle Network 4 Red Sun and Blue Moon are set for simultaneous release, and unlike previous titles in this game series, the main focus of Megaman Battle Network 4 is its tournament system. Since different enemies and partners will appear in the two versions, the strategy of each title will be totally different. It is up to the player to decide which version to choose, but both Red Sun and Blue Moon will offer great gameplay.

Different enemies will appear in each version of Megaman Battle Network 4. For example, Gutsman and Fireman will appear in Red Sun and Numberman and Protoman in Blue Moon, therefore the strategy to beat each boss and win each the tournament will be very different.

When Megaman is in a sticky situation, the Dark Chip may appear. This is a very powerful chip, but you will need to think long and hard before using it as once equipped, your Net-Navi will be gradually drawn into a world of darkness, and as a consequence Megaman's mind will be affected.

In battle, Megaman's Soul sometimes harmonises with an opponent's soul. When this happens, Megaman will be able to transform and use the abilities of the enemy he is fighting. This is known as the Soul Unison system, and its righteous powers are the direct opposite to those of the Dark Soul. Depending on the version, Megaman can perform Unison with different characters. Each version has six Souls, giving a total of twelve Souls across the two titles.

It is up to the player, either to fight with friends and stick to justice or to be pulled into the world of darkness.
