Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away... Okay, maybe thats a little over the top. The likes of Star Wars, Star Trek, Babylon 5, and many other sci-fi franchises are loosely based around the fictional complexities of diplomatic agreements. Of course, not every little thing can be resolved over a long table, complete with men in suits arguing over gets this planet, or who gets that planet. Sometimes you must regrettably send your race into a period of war, and thats what Space Clash is all about.
After taking control of one of four completely different races, you must use your skills as an explorer, a diplomat and a commander to acquire new planets in a galactic race to expand and become the most powerful race of the universe. Space Clash employs the playing strategies of both real-time strategy and exploration, effectively dividing the game into two entirely different categories. The real-time physics of Space Clash can be seen particularly well in the on screen combat. At times, there are hundreds of animations on screen simultaneously, and it can get a little confusing as to who is actually winning the battle.
Space Clash as a whole, combines playing elements of a number of genres, and as such, should appeal to a surprisingly large game-playing audience.
