Forza Motorsport 5 is the latest car driving title from Microsoft and their Turn 10 development partner, bursting right out of the gate as a launch title for the Xbox One.

This time around the game has been re-written from the ground up to make the most of the next-gen Microsoft Xbox One. With state of the art graphics including 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, that means that this is the most realistic Forza game yet. It also means that it can make use of the new Kinect that has been designed for the console.

Its two-player local play means that gamers can race against friends, while up to 16 rivals can compete online. New to the series is the Drivatar system. This is a Cloud-based system that enables the gamer to compete against real people even when those people are not online. It also enables the gamer to compete against their own histories. Unlike Ghost AI, Drivatars use real data taken from the drives made by real competitors on Forza 5 tracks.

The game has an absolutely huge vehicle list with over 200 available straight out of the box. That list takes in classic sports cars through to modern tuners, purpose-built racers to extreme exotics. For the first time, it will also include open wheel race cars.

The track list at launch includes:

Bernese Alps
Le Mans
Laguna Seca
Mount Panorama
Road Atlanta
Test Track Airfield
Top Gear test track
Yas Marina

If you really want to see what your Xbox One can do at launch, Forza 5 is your game.
