Summary

Sly Cooper is undeniably one of the greatest thieves in the world, so where can he go from there? Well, having mastered the three dimensions of space there's at least one left to go for, isn't there? Yep, Sly's taking his 'thieving from thieves' schtick into the fourth dimension and going on a mission through time.

Developer Sanzaru takes on the reigns from Sucker Punch (now famed for the inFamous series) for this latest, budget-priced instalment in the series. A group of baddies are loose in time and it's up to Sly to tidy up the mess.

Journeying back through time, Sly takes on the roles of his ancestors, picking up different abilities as he does so. The gameplay mechanics will be familiar to fans of the series – run, jump and sneak your way through levels, creeping up on opponents to bash them before they've even seen you coming.

A first for the series is PS3/PS Vita cross-save, meaning that players can start their game in the living room then take it on the road with their handheld.

The whole thing is delivered with a level of polish that makes it look like a Dreamworks game you can play, and it's stuffed with minigames and hidden objects for you to hunt down – plenty to keep players young and old busy either at home or on the go.
