Summary

Just because LEGO's all about small parts, don't think Traveller's Tales can't think big. You can make some pretty impressive stuff out of those tiny blocks, after all. While the developer has been ploughing the LEGO furrow for a while now, it's stepping things up a bit with LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes.

For starters, there's a clue in the title: 'DC Super Heroes'. Not content with sticking to the Dark Knight and his closest allies, TT and Warner Bros. have decided to open the game up to the entire Justice League, not to mention some of DC's most nefarious rogues. Included (and playable) are Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Green Lantern, Superman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, and Wonder Woman, among loads more. Yes, LOADS. There are a total of 50 playable characters to be unlocked. And, for the first time, they'll have voice actors behind them. Yes, the funny muttering you get in LEGO games might have it's own charm, but it's nice to see the characters get fleshed out with some voice work.

Traveller's Tales has also upped the ante with an open world for players to explore, with plenty of side missions and crimes to solve.

None of this comes, of course, at the expense of the LEGO gameplay you know and love. You'll still run and jump around, building things and fighting baddies. You'll still be able to make the most of drop-in, drop-out co-op, too.

LEGO Gotham just got bigger!
