Summary

In a first for video games, My Self Defence Coach is aimed at developing self-confidence as well as making reaction times more efficient and actions more effective in dangerous situations. Players will learn how to protect themselves from various forms of physical assault, as well as learning useful tips and tricks to avoid and escape potentially unpleasant situations.

My Self Defence Coach uses a mixture of fitness workouts and self-defence drills that are split into into four primary categories: technique, stamina, composure and reflexes.

Using Kinect (which is required) and its tracking technology, the player can really interact with the routines developed by a real-life self-defence coach.

My Self Defence Coach enables the player to learn to spot threats, block and counter-attack with confidence.

Also included is the ability to customise the gamer’s personal training and body toning routines with exercises inspired by martial arts, kick-boxing and cardio training.

A variety of mini games are also available as fun ways to increase and hone reaction times.

It’s not all high tension physical activity, though, as soothing Tai Chi exercises designed to instruct users on how to remain calm and composed in stressful situations are also part of the package.
