Summary

Since we Brits are apparently destined to never get a summer again, we're going to have to start getting our sun fixes where we can. You don't need to be a geographer to know that it doesn't get much hotter or sunnier than Africa, so Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa looks like a good place to start.

The game follows its film namesake, which sees Alex the lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and their whole crazy crew crash landing in Africa and becoming entangled in a whole great mess of political intrigue and shenanigans.

Gamers can play as their favourite characters. As well as Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman, you can also play as the ever-crafty penguins, the wacky King Julien and brand-spanking new hippo character (and Gloria's love interest) Moto Moto!

Gameplay is split between traditional platforming elements spread over 12 levels and mini-games. Said mini-games can be played on their own, and include the likes of the Diving Event, Hot Durian! (hot potato), Juicy Juicy! (fruit collecting), Jungle Chess (have a guess), Melman's Clinic (think jungle-themed operation), Mini-Golf, Monkey Match (a memory game), Musical Chairs, Soccer (football) and Volcano Rave (a dancing rhythm game).

Stay in and get some sun! And a lot of fun too!
