Summary

Nitrobike is all about high-speed racing and crossing the finish line in first place. Besides precision racing, you'll need to pull off huge tricks if you want to succeed. Each successfully landed trick will boost your nitro gauge, enabling you to boost longer and reach greater speeds. If you fail to land an attempted trick, you'll be doubly punished with time lost and a reduction in your nitro gauge. Executing death-defying tricks to earn those nitro gauge points helps to maximise your speed and gets you nearer to the gold standard.

There is a series of different events in Nitrobike. Single Race is where you can get in plenty of practice, in a one-off event against nine CPU opponents; Fast Lap invites you to race a single lap as quickly as you can; Hoop Havoc is an event where you pass through hoops to add to your time. Speed and accuracy is the key here; Trick Attack requires that you complete a number of tricks within a specific timeframe; Elimination is a four-lap race in which the rider in last place on each completed lap drops out of the race until there's just one bike left in the race; and Series Race is the big event, where you go up against nine CPU opponents in a number of races. Points are awarded for placing in each race and medals are distributed at the end of the series - Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Other game modes include Exhibition Race, Exhibition Series, Time Trial and Bowling. Yep, Bowling. It's unlockable in Career Mode and you can bowl the perfect game on your motorcycle. Multiplayer games are also on offer over the 'Net via the Wii's wireless connection, or locally on split screen for up to four players.
