Summary

What can we tell you about the Half-Life series that hasn't already been said in a million forum responses and a thousand reviews? Well, not much, other than 'Happy Holidays!' The Half-Life 2 Holiday 2006 Edition is coming to a PC near you. Just the excuse you need to get away from those relatives you don't really recognise this season. There are three good reasons to get a hold of this bundle, namely: Half-Life 2; Half-Life 2 Episode One, and Half-Life 1: Source.

In Half-Life 2, you are once again invited to pick up the crowbar of research scientist Gordon Freeman, who finds himself on an alien-infested Earth being picked to the bone, its resources depleted, its populace dwindling. Freeman is thrust into the unenviable role of rescuing the world from the wrong he unleashed back at Black Mesa. A lot of people he cares about are counting on him.

In Half-Life 2 Episode One - a single-player experience - you reprise the role of Freeman, who must immediately face the repercussions of his actions in City 17 and the Citadel. Freeman reconnects with Alyx Vance and her robot, Dog, as they continue their support of the resistance's battle against the Combine forces. The intense, real-time gameplay delivered in Half-Life 2: Episode One is made possible only by Source, Valve's proprietary engine technology which has been enhanced with new rendering technology and advanced artificial intelligence to deliver new levels of graphics and character interaction.

Half-Life 1: Source allows you to experience a special version of the original, critically-acclaimed single-player adventure, recreated atop Source for enhanced play.
