Summary

When released back in 1998 Half-Life made a big impression on the PC gaming industry, but also on the PC graphics industry as a whole. Half-Life showed what a high end PC was truly capable of when attached to a top 3D accelerator. One year later and a game that proved so unbelievably popular was to receive the expansion pack treatment, containing extra missions and new multi-player levels. A little later on and the two were to be bundled in the ultimate Half-Life package, Half-Life Generation.

Using an advanced graphics engine, developers Valve were able to create some of the most cunning AI monsters around. No longer can you shoot everything you see, as something that may appear to be evil, may in fact be crucial to your success within the world of Black Mesa. You must judge your opposition carefully and make a conscious decision as to whether they will be of any use. Your decision will determine their fate.

Extra options include Internet play, whereby you can simultaneously play on-line with as many as 31 other players. But how long can you last against your human oppositions. Get on-line and find out. Overall, Half-Life Generations gives the players exactly what they want; two excellent games bundled into one. Nice!
