Summary

Things have been a bit quiet for Dave Mirra on the gaming front for a few years. After a string of releases sporting his name, it took four years for Dave Mirra BMX Challenge to come to the PSP, which, frankly, is a bit of surprise seeing as how his name arguably means more on the extreme sports scene than even that of the venerable Tony Hawk.

Not to worry, however, because Mirra has blazed his way back onto the gaming scene with this latest BMXing title to bear his name.

UK Publisher Oxygen is boasting 17 levels spread over nine different environments for you to get down, dirty and downright dangerous on. You'll ride your way across everything from a cargo ship to a science museum to school yard in your quest for frenzied glory.

There are two different modes for BMX fans to get to grips with: race and trick. Race mode pushes you to get from top to bottom of freestyle environments as quickly as possible, making the best use of the landscape and short cuts to do it.

Trick mode demands that you string together fakies, manuals, grinds and airs to notch up the points and beat out other riders.

You'll also be able to take on up to four of your mates in ad-hoc wireless mode to find out who's the king of two wheels without ever risking a broken bone.
