Summary

Dribbling and elbowing its way onto all three home consoles, EA Sports BIG's latest arcade streetball game delivers a revamp of the two-year old original, accompanied by a host of new options and features. What the game boasts most is its inclusion of a number of legendary basketball luminaries, so you can pit your skills against a host of sports heroes, ranging from the baddest old-school legends to the hottest players of today.

The likes of Wilt Chamberlain, Shaquille O'Neal, Dr. J and Michael Jordan are all there for the face-off, each in possession of their own unique signature moves. Your chance to defeat them comes in the form of the game's all-new arsenal of dunks, passes, dribbles, and specials, which include such moves as 'Off the Heezay' and 'Pass Out'.

NBA Street Vol. 2 also includes a number of new gameplay features, which add a bit more depth and playability to the usual 3-on-3 basketball scenario. For example, you can use the C Stick to pass the ball to another player, then take control of the man without the ball and call for the monster alley-oop. Another new feature is what's known as the Gamebreaker. This is a meter that you build up by pulling off impressive moves. The more you pour on the highlights, the bigger the boost - fill it to unleash some legendary specials. You also have the option to pocket Gamebreakers for use later in the game.

With support for up to four players in multiplayer mode, a Create-a-Player function that allows you to earn and unlock new moves, and a fully customisable rules set, NBA Street Vol. 2 presents quite a comprehensive arcade basketball sim.
