Summary
Despite initially coming across as a cross between a wrestler and a porn star, Will Rock is, in fact, half mortal, half Titan. Set within the realms of ancient Greek mythology, this game takes the form of a first-person shooter that delivers an Olympian measure of action in a kind of 'Serious Sam-meets-Clash of the Titans' way.
To be more specific, protagonist Will Rock benefits from having had the spirit of legendary titan Prometheus's spirit fused into his body, thus giving him unearthly powers. Utilising these powers, as well as a whole heap of weaponry, Will rampages through Lost Olympus, seeking the safe return of his love, Emma, and revenge for the murder of his mentor, Dr. Headstrong. Prometheus, on the other hand, seeks to wage a bloody vendetta against the god Zeus, who robbed him of physical form long ago.
The gameplay within Will Rock basically sees players exploring ancient, mythical environments, armed to the teeth and on the hunt for the game's myriad enemies. There are 15 unique enemies to be found in all - each featuring multiple variations - including four massive bosses, one of which is a giant Cyclops.
Helping you in the quest to wipe out the minions of bad guys is the game's impressive arsenal of weaponry. There's a total of 11 weapons, including such delights as flaming crossbow, nuclear atomic gun and acid gun.
The main single-player game features 10 levels. With events and action loosely tied to a story, there's often more to the proceedings than simply wandering around, shooting things, as each level ends with an exciting event such as a boss or a puzzle to solve.
Being a first-person shooter, there's also the inclusion of some multiplayer gaming, with games like CTF, Deathmatch and Treasure Hunt allowing up to eight players to battle it out over a LAN.
