The Mario Kart clone-em-up continues to flourish on Game Boy Advance with Light and Shadow Production's Inspector Gadget Racing. A fast-paced affair, the man with the gadgets is once again on the tail of the faceless Dr Claw in a bid to save his own life.
A racer with a storyline, Inspector Gadget Racing features two different scenarios dependent upon whether you play as the Gadget family or as the MAD organisation led by Dr Claw and his henchmen.
Should you choose to play with Inspector Gadget, Penny, Brain or Chief Quimby, your objective is to put a stop to Claw's plans to take over the world by being the first to reach the finish line in a crucial set of races. However, if you choose to play as Dr Claw, your aim is to beat the Gadget family. If you succeed, nobody will be able to stop the Claw from becoming master of the world.
Inspector Gadget Racing features a variety of infamous characters from the cartoon series, and there are eight playable vehicles for you race, each with the ability to adapt to the location you are racing in. You can travel in the air, under water and on any other terrain you might encounter.
Races take place on any of 20 different tracks, featuring diverse locales such as a sunken city to some of the world's most famous landmarks. As an added bonus, players can link up to four GBA's through a link mode, giving Inspector Gadget Racing an endless supply of multi-player gameplay fun.
So there you have it. Another SNES-ified Mode 7 racer. Great stuff.
