Summary

After a brief stint of internet-based research, we think it's safe to say that, up until now, the life of the minuscule, cryptobiotic artemia has remained unemulated by the interactive entertainment industry. Now, however, these little creatures, which remain in a state of suspended animation before hatching, can be virtually looked after with the help of the humble PlayStation.

Amazing Virtual Sea Monkeys is a level-based, action puzzle game, which requires players to use all their skills and tactics to lead a school of the tiny creatures to safety through a vast underwater world.

Predatory fish, like electric eels and octopuses, populate the 70 2D, scrolling, underwater environments. Players must avoid these at all costs, whilst also keeping the sea monkeys out of their way, as they find their way to safety. Friendly characters are in there too, offering guidance or protection, so by making clever use of the sea world, players can ensure the survival of their little monkeys.

Time to get into your submarine and explore the amazing world of primeval shrimps. Delightful stuff.
