Summary

Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX is the BMX game to own on the PC. Imagine the ridiculously successful Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but with a BMX bike replacing the skateboard. If you enjoyed landing high-scoring combinations and impressing the judges with Tony, then Mat Hoffman will give you more of the same in a different way.

Mat Hoffman’s BMX challenges players to perform hundreds of tricks and signature moves across many different environments and locations. You can ride vert ramps, street courses and dirt courses. Nearly every object in the game is 'trickable', any edge or ledge can be 'grinded', and any jump can be taken. You can even land into tricks to keep your combinations going.

The single player game involves a BMX career where you must complete several objectives within a preset time limit for a level. These tasks can be as straightforward as scoring a set point level. The more objectives you complete the more moves, bikes and tricks can be unlocked. You can customise your rider however you like and set tricks to whatever combination of joystick and button presses your heart desires or finds easiest. Certain levels are competitions where you must put together a successful run to earn respect from the judges. Can you win the BMX crown?

The multi-player side of Pro BMX lets you challenge your friends to variety of competition-based events such as Horse, split-screen Demolition, and Graffiti. A couple of friends plus an additional controller equals unlimited hours of fun.

With quality gameplay and long term appeal, Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX is one of the better console-esque titles to appear on PC. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
