Summary

Tony Hawk is back on the GameBoy Color and this time he’s brought even more pro skaters with him. Joining him this time is the world famous Rodney Mullen and Steve Caballero, two long time professionals. Rodney Mullen is the skater that has invented many tricks like the kickflip and the ollie impossible.

It’s a mystery how Neversoft have managed to fit so much game into such a small cartridge, Tony Hawk 2 is huge. The levels come in two different varieties, side on and multi-way scrolling. Each level has certain number of tasks for you to complete and successful completion of these tasks will reward you with money. For example you must find hidden objects scattered about the level. Money in your pocket opens up new levels for you to skate on.

The GameBoy version is extremely similar the PlayStation version in terms of solid gameplay. You can string your moves together to form big scoring combinations. Variety is the spice of life and also helps towards a big high score. All of the skaters have special moves and grinds that are tricky to pull off but are very impressive.

There is so much fun to be had with Tony Hawk 2 and best of all you can play this game anywhere you choose. One of the best GameBoy games around, check it out.
