Summary

"To infinity and beyond!" This is the famous catchphrase of Disney’s popular film character Buzz Lightyear. This is Buzz’s first solo game for the Dreamcast and it's an amazing platform / racing game that kids will love. It is easy and fun to play and it looks great.

The gameplay involves chasing one of Buzz’s enemies through a level in a race. When you make it to the end of the level you challenge the villain to a fight, and if you are successful you proceed to the next challenge.

During the chase you can find various power-ups that increase Buzz’s selection of weapons. These power-ups cost tokens, and you find tokens scattered around the level and also earn them by taking out the baddies on route. Buzz has a lot of guns to choose from and each gun is suited to different situations.

The graphics in Buzz Lightyear are excellent. Sega’s powerful machine can kick out some gorgeous graphics, and when you’re running through alien worlds you’ll be very impressed with the quality of the visuals.

There are many secrets to be found in the levels and you’ll find yourself returning to the levels time and time again as you try to find everything. Buzz Lightyear of Star Command features good animation with some very funny sections. If you like Toy Story (and who doesn’t?) this game's for you.
