Summary

Based on the highly popular TV series of the past few decades, Wacky Races returns in the ultimate Fender Bender 500 racing league on PlayStation. No longer a cartoon, you can now take control of Penelope Pitstop’s Compact Pussycat and Dastardly’s Mean Machine in a devious battle to win the coolest racing league in history.

You can choose between battle mode, practice mode and championship mode; all have their own unique qualities. Battle mode isn’t so much a race, as a battle to take out the opposition, whether it be friend or computer. Championship races are good for those of you with plenty of time and patience, otherwise a quick, pain free single race should do the trick. Beware of computer AI though, it’s deadly. It wont be long before you’re tearing your hair out or throwing your controller at the wall. An infinite amount of patience is required to succeed. In your defence, a series of weapons have been made available for you to take out the opposition with, ranging from giant shovels to spring mounted boxing gloves.

If you can put up with Muttley’s insane laughter for long enough, Wacky Races should be a pleasure to play, just as long as you can keep that rage inside you under control.
