Summary
Frogger is one of the original arcade games and was released back in 1981. The simplistic gameplay was accessible to everyone, even those people who didn’t indulge in games as a hobby. The idea was simple, hop your frog across the busy road and then successfully negotiate the hazardous river. Once you had made it to the other side five times in a row you progressed onto the next slightly trickier level.
Frogger 2: Swampy’s Revenge takes this age old concept and brings it up date in glorious 3D. You can now explore each of the levels as you wish. In each level there are five baby frogs that have been kidnapped. It is your responsibility to find these babies and ensure their safety. In Frogger 2 there are over 30 new levels to challenge you. Each level is individually styled and features new gameplay innovations.
There are switches that can be pressed that alter certain sections of the level. One switch causes a giant rock ball to come tumbling towards you Indiana Jones style. The rock changes the environment and you have to react quickly to the changing predicament. To keep the action fresh, Frogger 2 has several hidden features for you to discover. Finding these secrets and trying to beat your best times will keep you coming back for more. Frogger 2 is a worthy update to a classic game.
