Released on all major console platforms, Hydro Thunder is an action packed power boat racing game with many daring and dangerous tracks to compete on. Now, Hydro Thunder makes its way onto Nintendo 64, so put on your helmets and be prepared for the shower of a lifetime.
As a Nintendo 64 title, Hydro Thunder bares a few similarities to the hugely popular Wave Race 64. There are as many as nine lovely 3D water based tracks to race, each having their own water physics to make gameplay a little more challenging. Similarly, there are nine powerboats to choose from, each with their own unique attributes. Some boats have a greater speed, while others opt for a greater turning circle. Once you have progressed through the easy, medium and hard levels of gameplay, bonus tracks and powerboats are opened up to you.
There is also a four-player split-screen option where you can challenge your other game-playing friends in a multi-player frenzy. Hydro Thunder offers a great single player mode with a challenging learning curve, and a super multi-player option, set to keep you playing for quite some time.
