Spider-man for the Playstation is an exciting 3D action game. Players assume the role of Peter Parker’s alter-ego in an attempt to stop the evil Dr. Octopus. Spider-man is a favourite comic book character of millions of people and in this game you have the chance to become the web-slinger. The Symbiotes are planning an invasion of Earth and it’s up to you to save the planet. The Symbiotes are evil beings that bond with humans to create creatures that are even more powerful. It’s going to take quick reflexes and fast thinking if we’re going to survive.

Spider-man is an amazing character, his abilities translate so well into the game mechanics. You can swing through huge cities using his web powers. Alternatively, use his web to entangle enemies or even create a protecting dome to avoid danger. When danger is close by his ‘Spider sense’ goes mental and alerts you to the impending danger.

What makes Spider-man special is the quality of the story. The plot is well thought out and flows at a nice pace. Other Marvel characters make appearances throughout the game and add to the comic book feel. In addition to the great game and story, the inclusion of many secrets to unlock adds replayability. There are alternative costumes to obtain that give you different powers, artwork and even storyboards.
