building locoroco for ps3 will still require more work and money than the psp version because of the complexity and power of the ps3.
Mamma Mia! I think your missing my whole point. Say for example a developer was developing a new game that didn't require fancy 3d graphics/models/textures (i used LocoRoco as it ticks all those boxes) The development costs, whether developing for PS3, 360, Wii wouldn't be hugely different.
i dont think i am missing your point, but im certainly pressing my own. with something less system taxing like loco roco, maybe the difference wouldnt be huge, fair enough. but there would be a difference, and that is what ive been saying. with bigger games the gulf would be quite large, large enough to make many companies think twice.
Not every game needs to be huge though does it? The whole issue of this protracted thread was that because PS3 was so "costly" to develop for Konami canned some Wii games, which lets be honest was a load of bollox anyway. People have then butted in saying "cuz it's hi def, it cost a lot more". All I've said is it's game dependendent. How much do you reckon Zelda TP cost to develop? They've been working on it for 4 years.
Let’s talk round figures here, in the interest of this thread I’ll try and make it easy buying using basic rounded up figures. If they have a budget of say 10million in total to make PS3 games and 5mil to make wii game. MGS is looking to go over budget by 5mil. I'd guess in this situation they will can wii game as the return on the MGS is a safer bet. I see it as a possible scenario and am not stating fact
Obviously I’m dumbing down to basics here so lets not take my word as gospel and if anyone thinks this is bashing Sony then so be it…
Indeed it is. So your gut reaction to hearing this terrible news was that it's got to be down to Sony and there incredible development costs forcing poor little Konami to can some Wii games?

So let me try to clarify, you're speculating with some speculative figures based on your speculation on some news story that turned out to be wrong anyway.... mmm...ok!
Why would a PS3 game be a safer bet than a Wii title. There have been far more Wii's sold than PS3. Surely the Wii should be the safer/cheaper option.

aha can i reckomend some sites for you? http://pleasedontsay.anythingaboutmy/favouritecompanyoriwill_throwahissyfit.com/
So you do have issues. Just because I'm defending Sony against your nonsence doesn't make me a Sony fan, not everything is so polorized. Just because you don't like a company doesn't mean everything they do is wrong and Vice Versa.
