The latest issue of Japan’s Weekly Famitsu reveals that Konami has withdrawn a few planned Wii and PS3 projects from its development schedule.
The only two titles that were named were Gradius Series (PS3) and Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball (PS3). No great shakes there then. Especially seeing as you can go and play classic Gradius via Wii’s Virtual Console right now.
The other four titles – two for PS3 and two for Wii – all had generic ‘to be confirmed’ working titles. SPOnG is gutted that New Action Adventure Game 2 for Wii is never to see the light of day!
The full list of canned titles is as follows:
Gradius Series (PS3)
Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball (PS3)
New Action Game (PS3)
New Role Playing Game (PS3)
New Action Adventure Game 2 (Wii)
Role Playing Game (Wii)
While the following still make the cut:
Pro Baseball Spirits Series (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
World Soccer Winning Eleven Series (PS3)
Music Simulation Game (Wii)
New Action Adventure Game (Wii)
Sports Game — Soccer (Wii)
Sports Game — Baseball (Wii)
Cutesy Wii game, Eledees (Elebits in the US) is the company’s first Wii title due in Europe this spring (pictured below).
