You're pathetic...I can't spell? Wow, that stings. You really got me there. and "LOL LOL LOL LAME ASS!" a 4th grader could come up with something wittier than that. You are a bottom feeder in the river of the internet, except thats an insult to bottom feeders, they perform useful ecological functions, the electronic fertilizer you spew is as useless as you yourself...
oh god, your sure mad, you sound like a 4th grader now. I still don't make you out. Well anyway the argument was about psp and ds. Check it out ds has shipped (not sold) 6 million units to us and japan combined. Ds has sold about 1 and a half combined total with japan sales and us sales. Since both systems releases, psp has sold 623,163 units compared to ds's 485,370 units in japan alone. With the release in the us with sales at 575,000 units, the psp has reached over the one million mark. This puts psp very close to ds. Also the ds came out in the uk, well it hasn't sold no 500,000 units, it shipped those numbers and sold 87,000 units in 2 days (which is good). So basiclly face it, psp will go over ds wether you want it to or not, you guys can come back at me but it won't change fate. Xbox owners are proud of a company that's a piece of crap.
I'm not proud of Microsoft, I think it's damn embarassing for Sony and Nintendo that MS managed to make as much of a stir as it is. In fact I only use Windows on this computer and at College, I bought a Mac cause I can't stand MS. I'm sorry, fanboy or not, you can't blindly defend any thing. Thing is, Sony would be retarded not to have a decent online system next time, and a gamertag is it, how else do you track your mates online in a friends list? Write down their ips? or maybe search their name and hope they haven't changed it because it isn't fixed.
The CEO of Immersion isn't telling the whole story. Most game sites on the net are spreading the rumor that Sony has to stop selling the PS2. The PS2 console hasn't infringed on any patents; it's only the controller that has.
As Immersion's CEO Victor Viegas said himself in a conference call which I copied below; from a SEC filing on there website. I think this whole thing is just smoke and mirrors. It will be easy for Sony get around these patents. Those patents have to do with rotary motors inside the controller. All Sony has to do is make the whole thing digital without a rotary motor.
copy of the transcript of conference call, held on September 22, 2004, relating to Immersion Corporation's recent favorable jury verdict and damage award in its litigation against Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. and Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Inc.
Victor Viegas: I'm going to let Patrick clarify this for you.
Patrick Reutens: I would just point out that only 3 of the 47 games were found not to infringe the `213 patent. And those three games were found to infringe the `333 patent.
Victor Viegas: So, if there was a question of validity of the `333, 3 out of the 47 games may be at risk or at issue.
(Mark Nouss): Okay.
Victor Viegas: Controllers, consoles obviously would not be.

Am I proud of Microcsoft? Nope, but I do own both a PS2 & a Xbox. Why do I own both? Because when it comes to playing video games they both kick ass. And anyone who wouldn't buy an xbox because they don't like Microsoft is missing out. Becouse the Xbox has the best graphics until the next gen consoles come out.

I didn't buy an xbox as i dont particularly like microsoft (alough i have played xbox) i know I am missing out, but to be perfectly honest I don't care, to be given a choice between my ps2 or an xbox I'd choose my ps2 as it has decent graphics (which seem to have gotten somewhat better recently.) as Sony(and nintendo for that matter)is a loyal company who dont take occasional pot shots at their rivals.

Except for the FACTS that:
1. Every PS/PS2 sold after DS(DualShock) introduction, was sold with an infringing controller
2. In order to "get around this" Sony would have to pull all current merchandise and repackage sans controller, or with new controller design.
3. This case has retroactive applicability to past sales.
4. The order that the judge made was, in fact, that Sony DID have to stop selling Playstations and pull them from stores...NOT A RUMOR...but she set her ruling aside pending appeal. The ruling is still out there waiting to be enforced, it didn't "go away"...
p.s. I AM proud of the big M, they took the big S down a notch and they did it a few years ago, this was total foresight on MS' part, kudos to whoever had the bright idea to throw cash at the problem.
Also, Nintendo DS vs. PSP isn't even a fair fight, PSP is flagship, and only Sony portable...DS is a toy, Nintendo is still committed to the GameBoy platform, and its far too early in PSP lifecycle to even be making those kinds of comparisons...

I'm sure you prolly posted this from a box running Slackware...and as to pot shots, what do you call the deal Sony made with EA for however long it took EA to figure out where the online action was at. That wasn't a pot shot, that was a broadside. And if you think PS 2 graphics have gotten better... Finally, the worst insult a reviewer can give an Xbox game's graphics is that they are "PS 2". Game Devs are looking at the Xbox now, and can't wait for what's NeXt.
wow, these sony fanboys are almost as bad as the 10 year old ninty ones. sony is a money making, cocked up corporation not concerned with its consumers. the recent PSP only confirms this even further.
1. dead pixels, if i pay 250 fer a PSP, i dont want to be plagued with 10, 15 dead pixels
2. dust between the screen, and screen plastic, poor manufacturing... really poor.
3. return policy, the outcry of dead pixels (about 50% of PSP's) has caused sony to adress the situation, but yu have to pay to get your screen replaced. the manual says that 5-6 are normal. nintendo on the other hand, a single dead pixel, yu get your DS shipped, and replaced for free.
if yu care about your customers, yu dont treat them like the gum on your shoe. sorry sony, no support here. im an x-box, ninty guy. although i do have a PSP. which took me 4 returns to get one without defects, thx god for local retailers that do care about its customers.
and since that was basically rambling, something pertaining to this topic: that'll teach ya to steal, sony.
Well if you hate sony so much why did you stay with a psp instead of going with a ds. I don't know where you live but I got my psp exchanged by sony for free. As for the dead pixels you can find that problem in ds, lcd monitors and lcd or plasma tv's. It's not something new, it happens.
