Following on from this week’s news that Asia will see a massive Xbox 360 roll-out early in 2006, photos from the pre-launch preview event in Korea show some of the most outrageous console designs to date.
Take a gander at the image opposite. Ignoring the painfully thin girl for a second, you notice that the 360 she’s holding seems to be covered in the knee-grazing terror that is Astroturf, ideal for hosting your very own insect five-a-side football tournaments during power-cuts. You could use candles for floodlights and everything!
Of course, this isn’t the first time Microsoft has chosen to show some of the more obscure designs it has commissioned for its new baby, though sadly to date, none have gone on sale, with the only additions being changeable fascias for the console’s front. However, we expect in time that full hardware revisions of an aesthetic nature will become available.
We’ll keep you posted.

If the writer prefers chubby girls, that's up to him...
But don't you think we're losing our perspective here, maybe because so many westerners are so lardy? I've spent quite a bit of time in Asia, and seen many many girls this thin walking down the streets, and no-one bats an eyelid. Different genes, different lifestyles, different diets...
My wife is slim (and tall) by western standards, but when we went shopping in Bangkok she couldn't get clothes large enough to fit her in many stores.
Let's face it, if the locals thought she was hideously skinny, she'd hardly get a job as a PR girly would she?
