New GamePark Released!

We got excited about the last one – no reason to stop now.

GamePark, creators of the GamePark GP32 we got so excited about so long ago, has announced a new console, about which we know next to nothing about!

It’s tentatively called the XGP, which stands for Extreme Game Player, and promises to be a ‘New Paradigm of True Mobile Entertainment’ and from the (iffy) images that have surfaced on the web, looks a bit like a Korean answer to Sony’s PSP.

As with any quirky handheld likely to be very good at things other than those it was designed for, we’ll keep you updated.

Where are the images :)

Warning, I once sent an message to these people, I did not receive a reply, and for some reason I suddenly received boat loads of Korean spam (that years latter I still get) of all sorts {:( If that is the way they want to do business...

Now for some satire on the new console. Extreme Game Player. Let me guess, are they going to release the pictures then change the design x amount of times and not settle for the best design, then change it again? Extreme, would that be a 128 MHz processor instead of the original lame 6?MHz processor, with a brighter screen, but still no 3D support like the original. Will it be still a much too high price (like double what it needs to be) and be expected to compete against the PSP. Oh, we've been through that park before, and come away mugged but luckily we didn't buy the 0miga watch.

OK, now this gets confusing.

There, apparently, are actually two new machines by two separate companies that used to be one company. One sooner, one latter.

From a google search here is some information, read the reader comments.

Just read faq section and specs on gpx2. Looks like speed below 400Mhz, maybe 200Mhz, 64 ddr ram, Linux, games, maybe emulator under $200 Late oct launch. But TV out is good feature.

Battery life for video playback 8 hours, audio much longer.
