Xbox 360 Box Art Emerges

Unearthed - launch phase packs near completion.

Posted by Staff
Digging around in the digital dirt today, we found these gems shining through the topsoil, seemingly pack shots in the works at Microsoft Game Studios.

Coming from an official Microsoft source, we have the almost complete box art for Kameo: Elements of Power, Project Gotham Racing 3 (with the game?s name now final, it seems) and the box art - albeit sans wording - for Perfect Dark Zero.

As you can see, the artwork is still awaiting the Xbox 360 borders and so on, but we?re sure you?ll agree it makes for interesting viewing on a Tuesday nonetheless.

Those box arts are awful. Good luck trying to shift Perfect Dark Zero and Kameo units with covers like that.

Looks like a regression back to the 1980s boxes.

They look like film posters.

I'm sure most people don't make their games purchasing decisions on the cover art.
There are great games with some naff or uninspiring art, and crap games with cool art.
What games would you consider to have great cover art?

Capcom are one of the few companies to fully localise their packaging. The Resident Evil European boxes feature some of the best box arts ever - simple, but effective.
