World in shock: San Andreas sells like crack in Compton
Rockstar Games’ latest offering in the Grand Theft Auto series has smashed the UK sales record set by its last Grand Theft Auto offering, shifting an unprecedented 677,000 units over the weekend.

For reference, Vice City sold a mere 250,000 in the same period, news that will further bolster Rockstar’s ever expanding coffers and cover the almost certainly doomed Midnight Club 3, likely to sell like cold cakes.

As do you, SPOnG awaits the lawsuit seemingly guaranteed to engulf this wildly popular videogame title, so ending the natural run of GTA release news.

Did anyone else piss themselves laughing when Lazlow interviewed OG Loc, and calls him "Ogloc"?

"Amazement at incredible amount of over 18’s shopping" ... for their 7-12 year old sons. ;)

Perhap shops like Game are looking out for underage customers or something. This also shows that GTA is hot enough to go, even when after being downloaded for nowt. People like the series and I bet the same will happen to Halo 2 and Half Life 2.

If leaflets are given out with adult games, kind of like a warning that, Game aren't not respnsible what happens if you give this game to a child to play, would that surely shut the bad press about games up too?

Dude, what amazes me is that Vice City, a game that is almost two years ago, managed to sell quarter of a million copies last weekend. THAT is awesome. If it's been selling over a quarter of a million copies per weekend for two years, it must have sold a BAZILLION copies by now.

Unless you didn't mean "the same period" at all, but actually meant "the equivalent period", or "in its release weekend".
