Nintendo has confirmed that Paper Mario 2 for GameCube is on track to receive a Japanese release later this year, hinting towards a western roll-out sometime in 2005.
At this stage, details are pretty sketchy, but what we do know is that the game is being developed by Intelligent Systems, which coded the original N64 title, and will again sport the unique visuals that feature 2D characters within 3D environments. One new element mentioned was the fact that the flat plumber will this time possess the ability to fold himself into a paper aeroplane and take to the skies.
Apart from that, there's little more info available, but we do expect to discover more at E3 next month - stay tuned for details.
