If there's one thing big-name developers will always strive to do, it's throw the carefully balanced information drip-feed of publishers as far out of sync as possible.
Well aware of this, Valve’s CEO Gabe Newell has reportedly made some concrete commitments as to the contents of the unannounced Half-Life 3, before the massively anticipated second instalment of the game has even hit retail.
Newell stated that non-playable female character Alyx will be playable in the third game, and will make up the bulk of the game, as well as a massively expanded storyline, detailing in depth the alien involvement in the series. He also underlined that Half-Life 3 is well into its planning stages.
