Following the recent announcement of its major expansion plans, North East based development studio, Atomic Planet Entertainment Limited has announced the promotion of one of its employees to the newly created role of Art Manager.

Dave West joined Atomic Planet as a Lead Artist in December 2000 and has subsequently worked on projects as diverse as Mike Tyson Boxing and SuperPuzzle Fighter 2.

35 year old Dave is a highly experienced artist, having worked within the games development industry since 1991, for companies such as Red lemon, and Attention to Detail, and is now responsible for managing all art output in Atomic Planet’s Middlesbrough studio.

Dave lives in South Shields with his partner and two children and relishes the opportunity provided by this promotion “To be given the responsibility of ensuring that the studio’s artistic output not only retains the highest standards of quality and consistency, but develops as the company grows and takes on new contracts, is an exciting challenge and I look forward to making a major contribution to the future success of Atomic Planet entertainment”.

Atomic Planet Entertainment, based in central Middlesbrough, is a highly respected developer of video games software for systems such as Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft X-Box, Nintendo Gamecube, PC and handheld systems such as Nintendo Gameboy Advance and mobile telephone handsets. It is currently working on several projects for many publishers, including SCEE, In2Games, and Capcom.
