As you may well be aware, Valve and Vivendi Universal Games have been assuring the world on an almost daily basis that the massively-anticipated Half-Life 2 for PC will make it to stores for its original September 30th release date.
So it comes as a massive surprise to learn that both parties have been telling UK retail quite the opposite.
Read this, an email sent out to those who pre-ordered HL2 from a certain UK retailer:
“As you may already be aware, the UK release date for 'Half-Life 2' has changed to Nov 2003. Please don't worry, your order is still 'live' and will be despatched to you on the day prior to the revised release date, via your chosen method of shipping, unless you advise us to the contrary.”
So there you have it. “It will definitely come out on the 30th September” actually means sometime in November.
It’s a funny old world, eh?
