Infinium Labs has finally unveiled its Phantom console to the world, promising high-end PC gaming delivered to the living room.
According to the initial, somewhat cagey release from the firm, Phantom will be equipped with a 3 GHz processor with 256MB of RAM. A custom operating system structured around the Windows XPe kernel will lie at the heart of things, audio support will include Dolby 7.1 and a “high-end” nVidia chipset will provide the visuals.
The machine will support wireless keyboard and mouse, has two USB ports and four bespoke controller ports. 10/100 Base T Ethernet connects it to the world, where games can be tried and purchased online.
And that’s that.
Two games were shown in the firm’s promotional footage, namely Sonic Speedsters and Bikini Karate Babes. Bikini Karate Babes in particular caught our attention. What on Earth is all that about!?
More on all this soon.
