Gossip has been gathering pace over the past few days that Sony will opt for Linux as the operating system for the PlayStation 3.
Indeed much of the talk comes direct from the not-really-that-publicity-shy-at-all Linux Technology group, and specifically, director Sam Greenblatt.
Talking to CNETAsia, he said, "Embedded Linux free, is easy to deploy and has interoperability and backwards-compatibility standards," adding, "Linux delivers high process-speeds and robust networking - ideal for future games consoles."
More as we get it.
