Nintendo not-ECTS plans revealed

It’s not that good really...

With ECTS the European Computer Trade Show falling out of vogue over the last few years, holding a piggyback conference around the same time became the new black for Euro games firms.

Nintendo has announced that this year it will be hosting an event at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts from 08.30 on the opening morning of ECTS. This will entail a talk from the ever-corporate David Gosen, head of Nintendo Europe, detailing the firm’s plans in the run-up to Christmas, as well as a video presentation from Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.

Unfortunately, no Japanese bigwigs will be making the trip West in person. In previous years, Nintendo has given access to Iwata and Miyamoto amongst others. This year’s event will by all accounts, be much smaller.

All of Nintendo’s looming titles across both GameCube and GBA will in playable form, so that will be a bit of a bonus. Perhaps we’ll get to see some of Rare’s illusive titles?

Anyway, we’ll be in attendance and will try and grab the ear of Gosen for an interview if the possibility arises.

Stay tuned for more soon...
