Latest PS3 thunder, not so distant
Why Sony Computer Entertainment is still denying its next generation home videogames machine is a complete mystery to us, and everyone else.

The latest solid proof that the machine is past the initial pre-research and development stage comes from Rambus, one of Japan’s leading data-transfer specialists.

Company president Avo Kanadjian has stated that he thinks Rambus is the only firm able to deliver the kind of power Sony wants in the PlayStation 3. He said that SCE is looking for memory components capable of shifting 10 gigabytes per second.

It is widely believed that SCE will look towards incorporating a bespoke version of Rambus’ Yellowstone RAM technology, versions of which are already in use in some of the world’s most powerful supercomputers.

Stay tuned for more.
