Square Attempts to Clear Up AAA Hitman Confusion
New Hitman game does exist. No it doesn't. Yes it does. Doesn't! Does! YOU ARE BIAS!
So, yesterday you were either wailing or cheering at the news that Square had canned Xbox One and PS4 Hitman games. Today you must switch your status as Square has clarified the situation.
Yesterday's news came via some LinkedIn comments from people close to the projects. Today's comes directly from a Square spokesperson.
"There's a bit of confusion around the Hitman projects currently in development at Square Enix owned studios and so we wanted to take the time to clarify what each studio is working on to clear up some of this confusion," they said to Eurogamer.
"IO Interactive is developing a new, AAA Hitman game that will be coming to PC and next-gen consoles."
